Our Story
Karen & Jim Lillie began their adventure with a small shop in historic downtown Cedarburg called Lillies, with products that are fairly traded, earth friendly, made with care and concern for the earth and those who produce them. Lillies grew quickly, as more and more customers enjoyed knowing who was making their goods and where their money was going. Demand grew to include organic, natural, sustainable, recycled, local, and handmade goods as well. Therefore, Lillies quickly outgrew its space.
Weeds was born
Weeds opened half a block north of Lillies in October of 2010 and strives to offer products that are sustainable, organic, recycled, reusable, biodegradable, and many of which are locally sourced. While it has a similar overall feel to Lillies, Weeds carries a different variety of products including teas, spices, home & garden goods.
Weeds provides customers with responsible options for things we all use and need in our lives. In doing so we can help to make the world we live in better for not only ourselves, but for generations to come.
With Jim’s background as a landscaper, he has also made a beautiful side-garden connected to the shop. Weeds strives to carry the most unique and best quality garden and home goods that you can’t find in any other store.
